Ask yourself these questions:

When was the last time I had a face to face meeting with my current advisor(s) initiated by them?

We believe in a long term relationship that utilizes a personalized approach, therefore, regularly scheduled meetings are an integral part of our process so that the relationship can continually be developed and progress monitored.  An advisor is not able to know what strategies will be best for you if they have not taken the time to really get to know you.

Do I feel that my current advisor(s) understands my goals and dreams, not just my money and investments?  Have they presented a plan for helping me to achieve them and do I feel my advisor is a partner with me in that process?

We embrace the idea that money is a means to an end and not an end in and of itself.  We take the time to understand what money means to you and the personal drivers for the goals that you have set for yourself.  It is only then that we feel we can help you to put together a plan that is driven by those desires and fits you as an individual.

Do I trust my advisor completely and do I understand how my advisor is paid for their services?

We believe this is an important issue because failure to understand how your advisor is paid can be a detriment to your ability to develop a completely trusting relationship.  For this reason we have chosen to be a fee based practice whereby clients pay for our services with an annual fee in lieu of commissions. 

We believe this structure more effectively aligns our interests and yours and better allows for a fully integrated relationship not driven by the cost of each individual investment or service.
